Funded Consultation Services
Derbyshire has the lowest levels of E-business
technology adoption of the 5 areas of the East
Midlands and the lowest levels of Broadband
Connection and internet Connections.
Only 10% of business in Derbyshire communicate and
transact on-line.
35% of businesses believe that managing the
customer relationship is important but do not use IT
to help them support their activities in this area.
Awareness of the relevance of E-business needs to
be raised. 47% have staff that do not have the
relevant E-business skills and knowledge (evidence
of training needs) 51% don't know how E-business
could help the business and overall 73% believe E-
business is not relevant to their business.
Only 23% of businesses within Derbyshire allow their
staff to work from home. This highlights the need to
stimulate interest and develop awareness in mobile
technology solutions.
Peak Support Services is able to offer free IT consultancy and advice to small businesses in Derbyshire*. Under our Peak ICT for Business project, we can deliver fully-funded assistance to businesses with fewer than 250 employees.
The Project is part-funded by Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership, with the goal of increasing awareness of IT throughout the region.
The assistance is delivered in the form of an initial consultation and report. We are committed to providing independant advice thoughout the process, helping to plan the short and long-term IT strategy for the business.
